Ahead of the 2024 US Open, Heineken partnered with Collide to bring a creative concept to life: a limited-edition, tennis-themed can for their 0.0 alcohol beverage. The goal was to make a bold, event-specific brand statement without incurring the high cost and long lead times of traditional can printing.
OUR APPROACH
Rather than printing new cans from scratch, Collide proposed a more efficient solution – relabeling existing, pre-filled cans. The team sourced a metallic, non-show-through label material that preserved the premium silver aesthetic of the design while completely masking the original print underneath. This ensured brand consistency and visual impact without compromising quality.
Over 5,000 custom labels were printed and expertly applied to the cans. The entire process – from material selection to application – was executed with precision and speed, ensuring the product was ready in time for the event.
THE IMPACT
Heineken received a standout promotional item at a fraction of the cost and time of conventional methods. The project was delivered on time and met the brand’s creative and quality standards, earning positive feedback from the client and creating buzz around the Heineken 0.0 product at the US Open.
