Highmark, a Pittsburgh-based health and wellness organization, challenged their in-house agency, Tonic, to create a standout employee gift. The result: a nostalgic-meets-modern desk calendar housed in a cassette tape box, with monthly cards linked to Spotify playlists via QR codes.
OUR APPROACH
To bring this unique concept to life, Collide provided precise dielines, folds, and print techniques to replicate a realistic cassette tape design. Raised, textured ink mimicked the feel of tape film, while careful prototyping addressed key issues like ink cracking, QR code readability, and layout adjustments. Despite a tight three-week timeline and holiday interruptions, we delivered 300 high-quality units on schedule through seamless collaboration and project oversight.
THE IMPACT
The calendar was a hit – celebrated by Highmark’s executive team for its creativity, tactile appeal, and personal resonance with employees. It successfully elevated internal engagement and showcased the power of thoughtful, well-crafted brand experiences.
